The LGM-30 Minuteman is a U.S. nuclear missile, a land-based intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). As of 2010, the version LGM-30G Minuteman III is the only land-based ICBM in service in the United States. It is one component of a nuclear triad, which is complemented by the Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) and by nuclear weapons carried by long-range strategic bombers.
The letter “L” in “LGM” indicates that the missile is silo-launched; the “G” indicates that it is designed to attack ground targets; the “M” indicates that it is a guided missile.[1]
The name “Minuteman” comes from the Revolutionary War’s Minutemen. It also refers to its quick reaction time; the missile can be launched within minutes after the receipt of a valid launch order.[2][3] The Air Force plans to keep the missile in service until at least 2030.[4][5]
The current US force consists of 450 Minuteman-III missiles[6] in missile silos around F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; and Minot AFB, North Dakota.[1]

Testing
A Minuteman III missile in its silo
Minuteman III missiles are regularly tested with launches from Vandenberg Air Force Base. Beginning in February 2012, several launches were delayed due to technical issues with test equipment added to the missile to monitor systems status while in flight. Those issues were resolved as of the launch in November 2012 and testing has resumed a normal schedule. The next launch is scheduled for April 2013.[14]
The most recent launch of a Minuteman III missile from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., which flew safely over uninhabited areas of the Pacific Ocean, 4,290 nautical miles to a test range in the Marshall Islands, was in the early morning hours of November 14, 2012.[15]
The safety features installed on the Minuteman III for each test launch allow the flight controllers to terminate the flight at any time the systems indicate that its course may take it unsafely over inhabited areas. Since these flights are for test purposes only, even terminated flights are considered successful, as they pose no safety risk yet send back valuable information to correct a potential problem with the system.
The 576th Flight Test Squadron, at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., is responsible for planning, preparing, conducting and assessing ICBM ground and flight tests.

1.(a) That when detected, a Space going Missile,
has two known ways of response actions that as
far as I know USA or other Country could or
would take!

1.(a.1) Immediate response to source, once
determined, regardless of estimated trajectory, or
believed to be the end-point!
This due to the short time frame of impact more or
less, between 20-30minutes!
That if they delayed the response regardless of
what outcome of the impact, be it completely
atomic nuclear of whatever megatons, there would
no be enough time for a response, or the delayed
response would give the attacker an upper hand,
that could jeopardize completely the USA, if not
the World!
1.(a.2) A risked delayed response, if there were
no more Missiles detected to be launched, upon
this apparent accidental not defined as detected
or not, Missile launch, from the given source,
of no doubt!
This would give time to stop a full domino effect,
of full response, to inflict more harm than that
received! OR TO STOP A FULL WORLD CONFLAGRATION!
MEANING THIS, IN THIS SECTION 1.(a) that a "Dud
Missile" has to be contemplated!
Be it that it be an accident, an independent
"rogue" action, or a full Country action!
[2] I did not mention the following previously.
2.(a) Though inferred above, there are many other
scenarios of possibilities, in the "DUD" Missile.
Thus we consider a Missile completely loaded with
nuclear heads[hot-hot], that does not have a
detonator, or the detonator fails!
This would require a delayed response! To not act
in wrong precipitation, in a retaliatory "accepted
response"! We do reconsider here what is mentioned
in the section above 1.(a.1) and 1.(a.2)!
2.(b) The "DUD" Missile is a "dirty" uranium
conventional weapon, that shows [hot], that
according to International Treaties cannot
explode in the air or above a certain height! But
that this one could or might!
2.(c) The "DUD" Missile is only a conventional
Missile that is not headed directly to any major
City!
FROM THE ABOVE WE COULD INFER THAT WHAT DOES NOT
COMPLY WITH THE LOGIC OF ALL ABOVE IN SECTIONS [1]
AND [2] WOULD REQUIRE A IMMEDIATE, SOON OR DELAYED
RESPONSE!
[3] In complete(pure) logic, unless you have more
than one Missile headed at you and even to a City,
you do not make an immediate response of anything
whatsoever! TO AVOID THE DOMINO EFFECT OF ANIMAL
ADRENALINE!
Whatever response be made has to be consulted
amply including other main Countries, to determine,
sub-sequent possible scenarios, of this initial
situation!
[4] IN COMPLETE(Pure) Logic, INTER-CONTINENTAL
NUCLEAR ATOMIC MISSILES, ARE BANNED DUE TO THE
POSSIBILITY, YET SO REMOTE OF WHAT HAS BEEN A
REALITY SINCE SOON AFTER WORLD WAR IT, OR WORLD
CATASTROPHIC DESTRUCTION, VIA THE RETALIATION
"DOMINO AFFECT" TO THE END, OR DESIRE OF COMPLETE

VARIANTS, have assumed the idea and responsibility
of being able to destroy most of the World in more

Nuclear Atomic Ballistic Missiles is flawed and
"border line", to even "suicide" scenarios...!
